Osteopathy is a hands-on approach for treating a variety of issues including;

  • Back, neck, shoulder, knee, hip, foot pain and issues

  • Joint impingements

  • Nerve Pain

  • Work and posture related aches and pain

  • Sports injuries

  • Pregnancy related aches and pains

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Musculoskeletal compromise related to arthritic and auto immune conditions

  • Sciatica

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Rotator Cuff injuries

  • Whiplash

Treatment involves physical manipulation and massage of the muscle tissues, bones, organs, circulatory and lymphatic fluids and nerves. All of which aims to treat the body as a whole and appreciates the uniqueness of everyone.

Our body has the innate ability to heal itself when conditions are optimal. However, our habits, lifestyle and stress factors can thwart our body’s ability to heal efficiently. I do not ‘fix’ your pain; my role is to facilitate your body’s ability to function well and restore equilibrium through Osteopathic techniques and give advice for healthy changes; this includes exercises/movements, diet and improving sleep quality.

To put it simply; you cannot get better in the environment that made you sick.

At your first session, an in-depth examination takes place, looking at your individual physicality, lifestyle and enquiring how the presenting issue came to be.  This identifies triggers and therefore the underlying causes preventing your body from working optimally.

I understand that pain can go beyond the physical and impact our emotional well-being and prevent us from doing the things we love. Empathy is an integral part of my practice to help you become more integrated, embodied, calm and centred.
